Profile

More than 35 years in Lebanese private practice.

Maguy Chebli is the co-founder and Managing Partner of Attieh & Chebli. She leads the firm’s Lebanon practice from Beirut and remains a principal source of the institutional knowledge on which that practice is built.

For more than 35 years, she has advised and represented clients under Lebanese law, with particular depth in real property law and management, inheritance, contracts, and litigation. Her practice combines long familiarity with the law and its institutions with the judgment required to determine what matters in a given case and how best to move it forward.

That experience is especially valuable in matters where the legal issue cannot be separated from the property, family, contractual, or procedural history behind it.

Experience & Judgment

Experience changes how a matter is read.

Long practice brings more than familiarity with rules. It brings perspective on how legal positions develop, where difficulties are likely to arise, which issues deserve immediate attention, and which can be resolved without unnecessary escalation.

As part of the first generation of Attieh & Chebli, Maguy Chebli has carried that perspective through decades of Lebanese private practice. She remains closely connected to the knowledge, working methods, and professional judgment on which the Beirut practice was built, while carrying that foundation into the firm’s present domestic and international work.

She approaches each matter by identifying the practical issue behind the legal question, preserving the client’s position, and choosing a course proportionate to what is actually at stake. Where resolution is possible, she pursues it. Where firm representation is required, she provides it.

Some matters demand more than knowing the law.

Experience guides the way, helping determine your legal position when the path is not straightforward.
